An overdue new disc from the duo of harpist and singer Corrina Hewat and pianist David Milligan in their incarnation as Bachué. Their earlier music in this context was rooted in folk but with equally strong jazz influences, and that potent combination is evident here. The pair are augmented by percussionist Donald Hay and trumpeter Colin Steele. The music is nicely varied, with Hewat’s songs providing a counterweight to the energised instrumentals.
